Metal trio APOSTLE have released their dynamic and emotionally charged new full-length album, A Splinter in the Infinite Noumenon, out today via Terminus Hate City. Alongside the album’s arrival, the band have also unveiled a new music video for the opening track, “Exiting The God Hologram”.
“Exiting The God Hologram” introduces A Splinter in the Infinite Noumenon with the approaching rumble of a train passing by at night, a sample recorded from vocalist and guitarist Murice White’s apartment. The track explores the idea that there is no singular “correct” way to experience or move through life. Its lyrics conjure striking imagery of a blood-filled sea splitting in half to reveal two paths, each offering only one view of reality, of “truth.” Musically, the song moves through a progression of sonic heaviness, emotive passages, and expansive textures that set the tone for the record’s deeply introspective journey.
Across six tracks and 27 minutes, A Splinter in the Infinite Noumenon finds APOSTLE moving through themes of grief, mortality, internal conflict, oppression, intuition, and eventual healing. The album’s title references Carl Jung’s description of humanity as a “splinter in the infinite deity,” framing the record as an exploration of spiritual duality, loss, and self-examination.
From the personal weight of “Illusion of Loss” to the urgent anger of “Swine”, the fractured realities of “Distortions of Light”, the instinctual force of “Oscillating Polarities”, and the vulnerable, bittersweet closing passage of “At Ease”, A Splinter in the Infinite Noumenon presents APOSTLE at their most refined, expansive, and emotionally resonant.

About APOSTLE:
APOSTLE are an emotive and urgent metal trio from Atlanta, Georgia whose sound bridges chaotic hardcore, grind, post-black metal, and atmospheric post-rock. Formed in 2017, the band channels themes of grief, spirituality, emotional vulnerability, and the human condition into music that balances overwhelming intensity with moments of stark beauty and reflection.
Following early independent releases including Shallow Graves (2018), Sufferer (2019), and I Have Tried to Speak Through the Soil in My Mouth (2021), APOSTLE underwent a defining lineup shift when founding vocalist Cameron Austin departed in 2021. Guitarist Murice White assumed full vocal duties while Michael Thomas transitioned to bass, solidifying the lineup alongside drummer Evan Price. This evolution marked a turning point in the band’s creative direction, deepening both their sonic atmosphere and emotional scope.
Since signing with Terminus Hate City in 2022, APOSTLE have continued refining a sound defined by urgency, catharsis, and dynamic contrast. Their music moves fluidly between blistering aggression and expansive melodic passages, reflecting an intent to confront pain, loss, love, and healing with honesty rather than abstraction.
Their latest album, A Splinter in the Infinite Noumenon, represents the band’s most fully realized work to date. Drawing from existential philosophy and deeply personal experiences with grief and remembrance, the record explores humanity’s connection to something greater while acknowledging the struggle inherent in being human. Across its runtime, APOSTLE seek connection through shared emotional experience, transforming personal suffering into collective release.
