IAN BLURTON’S FUTURE NOW provides a further taste of the upcoming album with the next single release, “You Better Get Ready.” This fiery upbeat track showcases the high-octane side to FUTURE NOW’s warm analogue sound, awash with vocal harmonies and driving rhythms. The full length, Imperial Filth, is scheduled for release via Pajama Party on October 23, 2026.
“It’s probably our fastest and most thrash oriented song to date.” Explains Ian Blurton. “Lyrically it deals with people who have been thrown out onto the streets and into the cracks of society. It’s a song about fighting back when You have been pushed into a corner and how a little empathy goes a long way.
This song also includes our second guest of the record (Liam Deak of TUMBLE) laying down some heavy riffing over drummer Glenn Milchem’s relentless double kick.”
Produced by Daryl Smith and Ian Blurton at Blurton’s very own ProGold Studios, Toronto. Imperial Filth was mixed by Daryl Smith at Chemical West and Mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege. Special guests appearing on Imperial Filth include guitarist Liam Deak of TUMBLE and Lee Rose of ACE OF WANDS performing strings. Cover art for Imperial Filth is by Lydia Sam Planetta and the layout design is by Louis Durand.
