Canadian modern metal band OSYRON presents their new single offering, “Telos.” The track lands ahead of the self-titled, full length album, Osyron, scheduled for release on November 27, 2026, via Distortion Music Group (DMG) – Powered by Reigning Phoenix Music.
On “Telos” OSYRON comment,
“‘Telos’ is about recognizing that we’ve allowed external forces (society, institutions, manipulation, addiction, and manufactured desire) to dictate the course of our lives. After losing ourselves in those systems, we recognize the cyclical trap we find ourselves in and decide to reclaim our identity, agency, pride, and ultimately our own purpose. We are all human, trying to live the best we can under the circumstances and environments we are born into and, in turn, shape new and sometimes trying experiences and obstacles into learned lessons for ourselves throughout life. This song is the anthem to those who wish to break free, rise up, conquer their dreams and pursue their ultimate telos.”
Not only is “Telos” the opener of the forthcoming full length, it embodies the core ideas that run through Osyron‘s track list. Telos is the Greek concept of an ultimate purpose or end goal. In this song, and across the album, OSYRON examine what happens when identity and purpose are challenged, imposed upon or even stripped away – and what it takes to reclaim them. Juxtaposing ferociously rhythmic passages with powerful melodic intensity, “Telos” balances light and shade throughout the relentless musical arrangement.

About OSYRON:
OSYRON is a Canadian modern metal band known for powerful lyrics, complex melodies, soaring clean vocals, and carefully placed contrasting vocal styles. Their metal version of “O Canada” was licensed for a Destination Canada ski video shown before all screenings of Warren Miller’s 2021 film Winter Starts Now, and the band received the prestigious FACTOR Canada Juried Sound Recording grant in 2021. In summer 2023, OSYRON made their European festival debut at Rock Castle in Czechia, appearing alongside HAMMERFALL, AMARANTHE, U.D.O., ALESTORM, BEAST IN BLACK, DORO, and more. That same year, they brought their world-class sound across North America on a 16-date tour supporting SEVEN KINGDOMS.
In summer 2024, the band returned to Europe for a six-date run, bookended by major festival appearances where they shared the stage with JUDAS PRIEST, BRUCE DICKINSON, AVANTASIA, and ACCEPT at Masters of Rock in Czechia.
