Arizona’s ferocious slamming death metal act ATOLL is joined by Dan Tucker of CROWN MAGNETAR on the brutal new single and video release, “Weed Witch.” The first single to land ahead of ATOLL’s forthcoming full length, explores the chaotic side of modernity through a viciously heavy offering. Death Roll Party 9000 will arrive on January 15, 2027, via Unique Leader Records. Death Roll Party 9000 is available to pre-order HERE.
ATOLL comments:
“‘Weed Witch’ is one of those songs where we wanted to write something that was just absolutely disgusting but still fun. The song is built around a really heavy, slow groove with a bunch of tempo changes, nasty riffs, and huge breakdowns. The drums get pretty wild on this one, constantly switching between grooving, and those slower crushing sections that make you want to punch drywall Kyle style.
The idea behind the song is a ridiculous take on modern internet culture—a goth OnlyFans witch who puts curses on dudes through Cash App and other digital payment platforms. It’s not really about money, it’s just making fun of how weird everything has gotten and how crazy life is right now.
We were super stoked to have Dan Tucker from Crown Magnetar jump on this track. We’ve been fans of his vocals for a long time, and he absolutely killed his part. We were lucky enough to have him be part of the music video we shot in Denver too, which made the whole thing even cooler. Dan is an awesome dude and a monster vocalist, and we couldn’t be happier with how this song came out.
‘Weed Witch’ is definitely one of the heavier, slower songs on Death Roll Party 9000, and it’s a perfect example of the kind of weird, chaotic, and heavy stuff we love writing.”
Death Roll Party 9000 was produced by ATOLL and recorded by Wade Taylor at Filthy Swine Productions. The album was mixed and mastered by Miguel Tereso of DemiGod Recordings. The cover artwork for Death Roll Party 9000 is by Karl Dahmer (Dahmer Art).
ATOLL’s guest features are performed by Nathan Gearheart (VEHEMENCE) on “Swamp Terror Alligator,” Dan Tucker (CROWN MAGNETAR) on “Weed Witch,” Vladislav Martirosov and Arseny Kovalchuk (EXTERMINATION DISMEMBERMENT) on “Atomic Sunburn.”
Additionally, Death Roll Party 9000 includes rhythm and lead guitars recorded by former member Spencer Ferguson.
