MIGHNIGHT TRIPPER’s high-octane, heavy rock ‘n’ roll EP, Paranormal, unleashes lashings of groove rhythms, electrifying riffs and unceasing energy.
The new EP explores a diverse range of narratives lyrically across the tracks. “Bloodletting” is about being trapped in a relationship without any defined boundaries, leaving you emotionally drained, While “Alien” takes a out of this world approach to explore ideas of immigration and ‘alien’ status. The EP’s title track delves into personal struggles with addiction and withdrawal, before the release concludes with “On the One”, encounters personal demons in the context of social media and dating apps.
About MIDNIGHT TRIPPER:
The Canadian four-piece began in October 2021 after Reed, Mike and Mikke, who had been without a vocalist for around a year, had found their frontman in Dan Post and things soon fell into place. The band began traversing the live circuits in 2022 Niagara, ON, performing with the likes of MVLL CRIMES, AAWKS and SONS OF ARRAKIS to name a few. MIDNIGHT TRIPPER released their debut EP Ride The Wave in September 2022, followed by the single “Mothman” in December of that year. The quartet’s diverse sound comprises of numerous heavy genres including heavy rock, stoner, punk, prog and metal.
