Featuring performances by the original Purekiller lineup, Starkiller embodies the electrifying live essence DEFRYME was renowned for during this pivotal phase of their career. The tracks, initially laid down at Hothouse Audio in 1993 with Paul “Woody” Annison and in collaboration with DEFRYME, have been reimagined and enriched with new recordings and production by Quinn Gardener-Kane at Studio F*ck Puppet in 2024.
Celebrating a landmark anniversary, Starkiller is launched on March 4 by Golden Robot Records, 30 years to the day after Purekiller‘s release. Purekiller made a lasting impact, climbing to #4 on the Australian ARIA charts in June 1994 and cementing DEFRYME’s legacy in the music world.
