About SLAUGHTERSUN:
Officially formed in 2023 by band leader Ben Karas (THANK YOU SCIENTIST, WINDFAERER) after years of experimentation, SLAUGHTERSUN takes a novel approach to the genre of death metal, with influences from bands such as GORGUTS, DEATH, CANNIBAL CORPSE and AT THE GATES. Comprised of Karas’ THANK YOU SCIENTIST band mate Cody McCorry, along with Jason Quinones (TOMBSTONER) and Justin Hillman (CRANIAL DAMAGE), SLAUGHTERSUN made its first strike in December 2023 with the release of critically-acclaimed single “Fall of the Firmament”. This release marked the band as a musical force to be reckoned with. So far, 2024 has seen two more heavy-hitting singles from SLAUGHTERSUN, “Relentless Thelemic” and “Ready Cell Awaits”, which preceded their debut live performance on June 29 at Lucky 13 in Brooklyn, NY.
