“Hellaciously energizing” CARIOSUS have struck again with their second single “Saturn Returns”, building more steam before releasing Will, Until Beauty in the new year. The album will be only the tip of the spear in an assault of new music that has been years in the making.
Drawing from many sub-genres such as Death, Black, and Neoclassical Metal, the Chicagoland band have sought to create a dynamic sound that explores the deep inner well of the human psyche.
Frontman Alex Pfister said of the song, “‘Saturn Returns’ was inspired by the cyclical nature of human experience. It is about looking back on a chapter of one’s life and having to come to terms with the things that one must leave behind – whether that be detrimental behaviors, thought patterns, or even people. Whereas ‘Apollo’s Lament’ was the call to grow toward a higher version of oneself, ‘Saturn Returns’ represents the pain that made that growth necessary.“
