Cinematic/ progressive metal quintet DISCONNECTED SOULS continue their tradition of releasing festive singles, but with a twist. Following numerous Christmas covers, the band present their first original seasonal single, “Endless Winter“. It is an immersive venture, inspired by the nearby snow covered mountains of North Wales and the dark beauty of winter.

This haunting and ethereal offering not only sees each member perform vocals on the same track for the first time, but is also filled with lyrical throwbacks to their debut EP Warring Elements (2020), and the recently released debut album, Fragments of Consciousness (2024).

Band leader Fletch comments:

“DISCONNECTED SOULS are delighted to present our first (and possibly only) original Christmas single! Having had a lot of fun with covers over the last few years, we decided to set ourselves the challenge to produce something new and a bit different. We wanted to capture the wonderful atmospheres of winter, with an accessible and diverse track that wouldn’t be too jolly or sad. If you’re already familiar with us, you may notice some interesting lyrical references to tie this song to our EP and album! We do love a good throwback. A real special moment for this track was the inclusion of Fletch and Tim on vocals in addition to Patrick, Holly and Felix – that was one of our goals from day one! So, without further ado, please enjoy a journey through snowcapped mountains… please remember to wrap up warmly.”

About DISCONNECTED SOULS:
DISCONNECTED SOULS emerged in 2018 and strive to create a distinctive sound that draws upon the depths of metal, while playing with tones and textures. Crafting a cinematic sound while exploring progressive elements, and entwining classical and electronic into their music. The quintet based out of Chester, England, unveiled their debut EP Warring Elements in 2020, followed by a diverse array of singles which led up to the release of their debut album Fragments of Consciousness in January of 2024.

DISCONNECTED SOULS take their name from the growing disconnect between humans; both from each other but also within ourselves, as well as the increasing rift with the natural world. A theme that manifests across their music. “Endless Winter” draws 2024 to a close, a final offering to bridge the gap between this chapter and what awaits in 2025. More to be announced anon.
