EXILED HOPE/STEEL FORGE Release Melodic Metal Collaboration “Beyond The Veil”

EXILED HOPE and STEEL FORGE have released a lyric video for their single “Beyond the Veil”. The track is taken from their upcoming collaboration Realm Of The Exiled, which is set for release on January 10 2025. Unlike the rest of the album which is more melo-death focused, “Beyond the Veil” is a haunting melodic metal track that showcases the talents of Sofia Frasz, the mastermind behind EXILED HOPE.

Sofia comments “”Beyond The Veil” is the only song on the EP that I did pretty much entirely solo. I was hesitant to include it on the EP at first since the doom and folk influences stand in such stark contrast to the melodeath influences that dominate the EP. Thematically, though, it’s a perfect fit: the song deals with Hope’s mixed feelings about returning to the mortal world. She knows that some regard her as a hero, but she let many others down during her failed attempts to liberate her city, and still many more consider her an enemy. She knows she still has the potential to save her city from the tyrants who rule it, but her past mistakes and the betrayal she experienced weigh heavily on her mind. She wonders whether it’s worth fighting her way through the legions of monsters who want to keep her imprisoned in the underworld if she’ll only end up failing again. Eventually, Hope resolves to continue her journey even though she has no idea what awaits her back in the mortal world.”

About EXILED HOPE:

Multi-instrumentalist Sofia Frasz established EXILED HOPE in 2019, and draws musical inspiration from the likes of AVANTASIA, NIGHTWISH, KAMELOT and CRADLE OF FILTH to name a few. EXILED HOPE’s releases all take place in the same fictional universe and combine to form a dark fantasy metal opera. Each album centers on a character dealing with both an internal and external conflict in this world, and the lyrics explore how they navigate those conflicts. This is intended to provide some kind of escapism through the lyrical worldbuilding, while still keeping the songs grounded in real, relatable emotions despite their fantastical setup. EXILED HOPE is working towards the next album, Apocrypha, due to be released April 11th, 2025. Born in Liverpool, UK, STEEL FORGE have been drawing inspiration from the likes of AMON AMARTH, WINTERSUN, ENSIFERUM, KING DIAMOND, CHILDREN OF BODOM, and IRON MAIDEN.
