HORRENDA, the avant-garde blackened extreme metal ensemble from Dublin, is thrilled to announce the upcoming U.S. physical releases of their critically acclaimed albums, Think on Your Sins and Díoltas, both via Fiadh Records. These releases mark a significant milestone for the band as they bring their intense and thought-provoking music to a wider audience across the Atlantic.
Think on Your Sins, set to release on May 9th, delves into the dark corners of human nature and the consequences of our actions, inspired by the haunting themes of Dante’s Inferno. The album combines elements of raw black metal, punk, and depressive suicidal black metal (DSBM) to create a soundscape that is as introspective as it is brutal. Produced by Shannon Bowman of Xeropulse Media, the album has been praised for its innovative approach and intense emotional depth. The accompanying artwork, featuring Gustave Doré’s illustrations for Dante’s Divine Comedy, visually complements the album’s thematic exploration.
Following closely on May 30th, Díoltas will make its physical debut in the U.S. Originally released in 2020, Díoltas, which translates to “Revenge” in Irish, presents a powerful narrative interwoven with themes of vengeance and justice through the lens of Irish mythology and history. This full-length album captures the evolution of HORRENDA’s sound, showcasing a more developed and aggressive style that has solidified their place in the extreme metal genre.
