VOIVOD is a name that speaks for itself in the Canadian music industry and to metal fans worldwide, with the band having been nominated since the very birth of the hard rock category at the JUNOs and the band having been at the forefront of the genre for over four decades.

The 2024 JUNO Awards have nominated Voivod once again for ‘Metal/Hard Rock Album of the Year” – this time for their 16th studio album, Morgöth Tales, which celebrates the band’s 40th anniversary. The nomination was announced this morning at CBC Studios in Toronto, Ontario – a ceremony presented by the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS).

Morgöth Tales was released in July of 2023 via Century Media Records and has been taking fans by storm since the first single dropped. With astounding artwork, once again created by drummer Michel “Away” Langevin, the band continues to display a steadfast dedication to what they do, not tiring after four decades of metal mastery.

On the nomination, Michel “Away” Langevin comments: “We are truly honored by this JUNO nomination, hopefully we can complete a hat-trick!”

Winners of the 2024 JUNO Awards will be announced at the official JUNO Awards ceremony, which will take place on March 24, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at the Scotiabank Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
