Black metal band VOSFORIS has released a lyric video for “Decoherence”. The song is taken from their upcoming album, Cosmic Cenotaph, which will be available on vinyl starting December 6, 2024.
Band leader Simon White comments:
“‘Decoherence’ is about the fall into causality—the gratuitous absurdity of life. In a word: nauseating. The only way out is through. As Terence McKenna rightly observed: ‘I think it’s just going to get weirder and weirder, and weirder, and finally it’s going to be so weird that people are going to have to talk about how weird it is.’ This track encapsulates that escalating weirdness, reminding us that, occasionally, we need to squeegee our third eyes.”
White continues:
“I was extremely fortunate to work with Adrian Erlandsson (At The Gates) on the drums. He was an absolute pleasure to collaborate with and nailed every track. I didn’t have any notes or revisions for his parts. We then took the recordings to Kettering to work with Russ Russell (Napalm Death, Dimmu Borgir, The Haunted) at The Parlour Studios, where we recorded, mixed, and mastered everything.

About VOSFORIS:
Formed in 2022 in the UK by Simon White, the black metal band VOSFORIS entwines industrial elements across their sound. Primary influences in VOSFRIS’ sound are namely, SATYRICON, TYPE O NEGATIVE, NINE INCH NAILS, with aspects of melodic/symphonic and black/death also present. The album includes the addition of notable guests, including guitarist Richard Shaw on “Psychonaut” and “Omega”, and additional arrangements by Anabelle Iratni. With drums on Cosmic Cenotaph performed by Adrian Erlandsson.
