“Illusion of Choice”, a familiar track to those who enjoyed Confession, WAR CURSE’s 2023 Metal Blade / Blacklight Media debut, has returned leaner and meaner. The remixed/remastered “Illusion Of Choice” shed around 40 seconds while beefing up the production. The band’s mixing engineer Neil Tuuri of Amish Electric Chair Studios mixed both the original (album) version and the re-released single.
WAR CURSE guitarist Justin Roth had this to say about the decision to remix the song – “Illusion Of Choice was one of the heaviest tracks on Confession, and my personal favorite. With the sick new mix Neil Tuuri slapped on it, it’s even heavier. The original minute long intro just wasn’t cutting it. I wanted to get to the point faster, hit you harder, and that’s what we’ve done with the Crush Factory Remix.”
In the time since Confession, the band has toured in support of the album, made some line-up changes and begun the recording process for a new album, yet to be titled.
