Swedish metal force SARCATOR has released an official music video for their new single “Ain’t Fit to Live,” a further taste of their upcoming fourth studio album, The Ones We Follow, due out October 30, 2026 via Reigning Phoenix Music.
With The Ones We Follow, SARCATOR push beyond the boundaries of their extreme metal roots and venture into darker, hook-driven territory. Gothic Western atmospheres collide with raw rock ’n’ roll energy, while the band’s signature death and blackened vocals remain firmly intact.
Their new single “Ain’t Fit to Live” finds SARCATOR exploring yet another facet of their sound, while retaining the weight and intensity that have defined the band from the start. Guitarist/vocalist Mateo Tervonen reveals some of the perhaps unexpected influences behind the track:
“Ain’t Fit to Live serves as the heavy one on the album. It’s a slow, stomping homage to Bob Rock-era Mötley Crüe and Metallica during the mid-’90s period, which is mainly present in the groove of the song. There’s also a strong Americana influence, which you can hear in the slide guitar that is present throughout. It has some proper storytelling going on as well, telling the last thoughts of an outlaw and his acceptance of fate just before he’s brought to the gallows.”
